COMET 21P-GIACOBINI-ZINNER
« on: October 02, 2018, 09:55:04 PM »
Attached was taken with Atik Horizon Mono camera with LRGB frames of 10 seconds each (4x4 binning).
Scope is 30'' F3.5 Dob on unguided equatorial platform, with Paracorr type II coma corrector.
All processing done in Pixinsight.

4x4 binning was used to minimise exposure time because the comet was moving quickly against the background stars.
By taking only 3 x 10 second frames for each R,G,B and L filters I was able to keep relative movement of stars to comet to a minimum.

Very well done. Probably one of the most difficult things to catch in AP, much less processing it as well as you did.
I know there is potential in this thing, how do I get it out?

Thanks

I'm lucky with the large aperture.
