power supply problem
« on: May 14, 2013, 06:04:31 pm »
Hi Guys

I recently purchased a 314L+ and I'm very happy with it .But I also bought the optional power pack . The problem I have is that the power cable is to short . You supply a 3m usb cable then surely you should supply a 3m power cable  .I have a permanent set up consisting of 300mm Newtonian on a EQ mount .And I have a usb hub and mains supply with various 12v power packs around the pier . So I would ask you to consider including a power supply cable the same length as the included usb cable .

My suggestion is to use a regulated power supply instead. The voltage is critical for CCD cameras, it must be between 12.5V and 13.5V.

Clear skies,
